Teaching
I taught art and design for ten years in secondary schools, 9 as a permanent member of staff. In this time I successfully fulfilled the duties of a secondary school teacher, leading classes, targeting and developing skills, providing quality learning resources, initiating clubs and activities for gifted and talented groups and given my skills to projects for the broader benefit of the school community.
Gallery Education: Devising and delivering KS3, KS4 and KS5 programmes of study in relationship with the gallery exhibitions, developing students’ understanding of approaches to art and design.
Adult Education: Developing and delivering adult education courses, including Teacher Inset training courses for school staff, focusing on developing specific skills (eg Master classes on key skills like perspective) run at Compton Verney House and art gallery. I’ve also lead sessions in ‘Adult Education Week’ for the county library services. |
